Synopsis

The stunning new novel from Clare Mackintosh, the international bestselling author of I Let You Go and I See You.

The police say it was suicide. Anna says it was murder. They're both wrong.

Last year, Tom and Caroline Johnson chose to end their lives, one seemingly unable to live without the other. Their daughter, Anna, is struggling to come to terms with her parents' deaths, unwilling to accept the verdict of suicide.

Now with a baby herself, Anna feels her mother's absence keenly and is determined to find out what really happened to her parents. But as she digs up the past, someone is trying to stop her.

Sometimes it's safer to let things lie....

My Review

Bitmoji Image

So guys I got this book from a monthly book subscription called once upon a book on cratejoy.com. I chose the two books a month and this was one of them. Now let me tell you I loved this fucking book.

This book was a definite page turner. I was lost at first But boy oh boy when I kept reading the book omg. I had to binge read there was no putting this book down. Poor Anna this poor girl had no clue how many lies she was told and wrapped into.

Murray is such a good man. How my heart breaks for him. How smart this man is is amazing. How he sees his skills to follow this investigation is insane. Kinda reminded me of watching the movie Taken LOL.  This mans skills are that good and with the help of Sarah made it better.

SPOILER ALERT. Laura is a BITCH. If I was Anna I would have beat her ass and then some. the lies the deject the nerve she had to sit there and do what she did like nothing. To eat at my dinner table and hold my child. She lucky she's not dead, Because if I was Anna Laura wouldn't be breathing. Once you finish this book you will understand and feel the way I feel.

Now the way this book ended had me yelling "Na No Way".  This can't ens like this. Now I can. not wait. there has to be a next book there just can't be this one. I Pray we havre a part 2. I need to know what happens next.
